2024 Winter: Indoor Cycling Workouts

- When: 6:30pm to 7:45pm Starting Jan 10th. Please do not arrive before 6:15pm. - 8 workouts: Jan 10th Wed Jan 17th Wed Jan 24th Wed Jan 31st Wed Feb 7th Wed Feb 15th Thu Feb 22nd Thu Feb 28th Wed - Where: In-person at Cascade Bikes, Washington Square. This is different than a spin class: you ride your own bike on a stationary trainer in the comfort of your home. Classes are instructed by a professional cycling coach. They are a great way to get out of the cold, dark and rain of the winter months to work on your cycling fitness and pedaling technique in a fun, safe, and small group environment. Each class will be a 75-90 minute workout that will include the following: - A thorough warm-up on the bike - Specific drills to improve pedaling efficiency and leg speed - Introduce interval training in a safe and fun small group environment. - Reinforce body awareness and alignment on the bike - A short cool-down on the bike (you can always spin by yourself to cool down for longer) If you miss a class you will have access to the recording for one week to do the workout as many times as you want! What you need for in-person: - A clean and working bike with slick / smooth tires (no mountain bike tires or gravel tires with knobby tread) - Stationary Indoor Trainer (I have a couple I can loan out: please check with me to see if one is available for you) - Cycling shoes - Yoga mat - Water bottle - Small towel Why Breakaway Classes? - workouts are written by an experienced cycling coach - thorough warm-up that includes activation and mobility - cool down that includes mobility, stretching and re-alignment - mix of workouts to stimulate the mind and body (HIIT, endurance, pedaling efficiency, etc.) THE FINE PRINT: - Cancellations must come by Emailing Julie@breakawaycoachingpdx.com. - Cancellations before JAN 1st will get a full refund. - No refunds for cancellations after JAN 1st, thank you for your understanding.
