Are you living a life where you feel like you want more when it comes to your health and well-being?
Do you want to make some changes to the way you are living, but have trouble getting started or keeping it going?
Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward?
Do you feel like life is too busy or out of control leaving you with little to no time to take care of yourself?
Do you like the sound of having a coach serving as a creative and thoughtful partner along for the journey?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you certainly are not alone.
With so many work and home responsibilities competing for our time and attention it may seem impossible to figure out how to fit in taking care of yourself.
As a Health & Wellness Coach I help clients include wellness and self-care in their busy lives.
What is Health & Wellness Coaching?
A Health & Wellness Coach is not going to tell you what to do. Instead we help you discover your own path to better well-being by working on where you'd like to be, to un-cover what is holding you back and strategizing how to overcome barriers and challenges. Health Coaches help you discover your values and priorities, your deep motivators, your strengths and abilities, your needs and desires, and help you plan and set goals. And we're there to encourage and help hold you accountable to yourself.
This approach leads to sustainable and lasting change and ultimately leads to increased personal responsibility for your health and well-being. You'll have more confidence, self-regulation, self-awareness, resiliency, optimism, as well as tools and strategies to fall back on.
There are several ways to work with me: Individual Health Coaching, Lifestyle Medicine Coaching, Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition, Health Coaching for Athletes, Group Coaching, Wellness Clubs, and Corporate Health Coaching.

Group Health Coaching
Do you seek a sense of belonging in a safe, nurturing, inspiring and supportive group? Are you feeling like your connections are uninspiring, underwhelming and unsatisfying? Are you ready to put in the work and make lifestyle changes to help improve your health and well-being? Consider Group Health & Wellness Coaching.
We are social animals and tend to thrive when we have a strong sense of community. However, today there seems to be less opportunity to socially connect in meaningful ways: to be heard, to feel supported, to be held accountable, etc.
In a group setting we select a focus topic for each session. You will get coached towards your personal goals within that topic. Group coaching offers the following:
-
Cost-effective way to be health coached
-
Benefit of group support, learning, and inspiration from other members’ experiences
-
Feeling of a sense of belonging, community, and connection with others in a meaningful way
-
Increased accountability and responsibility to follow through
-
Creative brainstorming of possibilities
-
Willingness to try something new in a supportive “let’s try this together” attitude of the group.
-
Being a part of a group that is non-judgmental, ready to listen, and to celebrate and honor each other.
Connect with me if you are interested in joining an existing group or forming your own group in the Portland, Oregon area.
Wellness Clubs
There were two main drivers in the creation of Wellness Clubs:
1. People feeling stuck when it came to their health and wellness. With so many health and wellness guidelines, services, and products available, it is easy to feel overwhelmed: it can create an inertia making it increasingly hard to create, initiate and sustain new healthy habits.
2. We are social animals and tend to thrive (mentally, physically and emotionally) when we have a strong sense of community and friendship bonds. However, today there seems to be is less opportunity to socially connect in meaningful ways: to be heard, to feel supported, and to be held accountable in an inspiring and non-judgmental space.
Breakaway Wellness Clubs offer:
-
The benefit of group support, learning, and inspiration from other members’ experiences
-
Feeling of a sense of belonging, community, and connection with others in a meaningful way
-
Increased accountability and responsibility to follow through
-
Creative brainstorming of possibilities
-
Willingness to try something new in a supportive 'let’s try this together' attitude of the group.
-

-
A cost-effective way to access Health Coaching
Think of a Wellness Club like a book club that gets together at least once a month, but instead of focusing on reading a book, it’s focusing on our Wellness. To get the most out of the club you should be ready to make some lifestyle changes towards improving your well-being. You might not know how yet. That’s OK. The club is here to help you get ‘un-stuck’ and move forward.
Corporate Wellness Coaching
Corporate Wellness Coaching is a unique approach to well-being. It puts the employee at the center of their health and wellness. It empowers employees to take responsibility for their own well-being and facilitates the adoption of positive and healthy behaviors for the long term.
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution to health and wellness. Providing employees with gym memberships, incentives to work out or health risk assessments provide opportunities to engage in healthy habits, but it typically does not provide the framework and tools they need to make significant long-term behavioral changes. Health coaches are experts in behavior analysis and help people to make lasting and meaningful changes in how they approach their life. We help them evaluate everything from what they eat to how they move, and a myriad of other lifestyle behaviors that feed into their wellness equation (sleep quality, stress management, social connections, emotional health, etc.)
Health Coaching helps people discover a path to healthier living that works for them. When people are in a good positive place with their well-being the effects are far reaching, including the work place where the following can be experienced:
· Improved employee morale, engagement and fulfillment
· Increased retention by reducing burn-out
· Positively impacted productivity and creativity
· Reduced absenteeism
· Building a culture of well-being within the workplace
· Create an overall ‘happier’ and ‘healthier’ work environment
Corporate Wellness Coaching programs include:
· Special Focus Workshops
· 1-on-1 Coaching (on-site or over the telephone)
· Small Group / Team Wellness Coaching
The benefits of having healthier employees is wide reaching. Healthier employees tend to make happier employees which can be the foundation of a thriving company.
